Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a comprehensive automated test framework for our APIs, ensuring high test coverage and efficiency
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts using Java, Rest Assured, or Playwright, and other relevant tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize test requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Develop and maintain test data, test environments, and test infrastructure on AWS
- Identify and implement test automation best practices, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and reliability
- Develop and maintain test metrics and reports to measure test effectiveness and efficiency
- Mentor engineers and provide guidance on test automation best practices and design patterns
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply knowledge to improve test automation capabilities
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation and API testing
- Proven experience in designing and implementing automated test frameworks from scratch
- Expertise in Rest Assured or Playwright, and other test automation frameworks
- Strong understanding of test automation principles, design patterns, and best practices
- Expertise in Java, Spring boot, and RESTful APIs
- Experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, and SQS
- Experience with Kafka and message queuing concepts
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud-based testing tools, such as AWS Lambda
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
